The George Family entered the transportation industry in 1948 when transportation became a necessity for rural children to get to and from school. In that time period, it was common for the local farmers to transport students in between their daily farming duties. Leon George and his wife Esther did exactly that while they ran the business from 1948 until 1989. In 1989 the second generation of George’s took over operation of the company. Since that time, the George Family has provided school transportation for two school districts in Carbon County. Leon A. George II expanded the company to a second location in 1995, thus contracting with a third school district. This expansion benefited the community by coordinating transportation between neighboring schools. Today, we seamlessly transport students to and from school and offer charter bus rentals.
